Installation of Somfy Sonesse 40 (3Nm, 30rpm) Motor
1. Preparation
- Ensure you have the correct power supply (typically 230V AC or 24V DC depending on the model).
- Check that the tubes and mounts are compatible with your motor.
- Have a switch or remote control ready if needed.
2. Electrical Connection
The electrical connection depends on the motor model:
230V AC Version (3-wire)
- Brown = Live (L)
- Blue = Neutral (N)
- Black = Up or Down (depending on installation)
- Earth = Yellow/Green (if the motor has grounding)
For control, use a toggle switch or Somfy’s control systems like Tahoma, RTS, or IO.
24V DC Version (if applicable)
- Red = Positive (+)
- Black = Negative (-)
- White wires = Control signal (depending on the system)
3. Mounting the Motor
- Secure the motor in the tube adapter and bracket.
- Check that the shaft fits and that the motor is properly secured.
- Connect power and test that the motor rotates in the correct direction.
4. Setting the End Limits
- For models with manual adjustment: Adjust the screws on the motor head (using a screwdriver).
- For RTS/IO models: Program the end limits via the remote control according to the manual.
5. Test Run
- Run the motor up and down and check that the end limits work correctly.
- If it moves in the wrong direction, swap the control wires (230V) or reprogram the control system (for RTS/IO).
