Delivery Inspection – Important Information

Mandatory delivery inspection upon receipt

Please make sure to unpack and inspect your goods immediately upon delivery. This must be done regardless of whether the package appears damaged or not when received.

At the slightest sign of potential damage, always keep the original packaging until the case has been resolved. The packaging may need to be presented or documented in the event of a damage investigation. Therefore, do not dispose of the packaging if you intend to claim a transport damage.

Sometimes "hidden damages" may occur during transport that are not always visible on the outside of the package. Please notify us immediately and no later than within 7 days if you discover any damages that occurred during transport. According to current transport regulations, all damages must be reported to the shipping company immediately and no later than 7 days after receipt. If this is not done, the burden of proof that the damage occurred during transport falls on the claimant.

In practice, this means that no compensation can be obtained for any damage if it is not reported within 7 days from the delivery date. Therefore, please inspect your goods immediately after delivery.

If the package remains with the recipient for a long time without being inspected, it is always difficult to prove afterwards that the damage occurred during transport. It is not uncommon that the damage actually occurred at the recipient’s premises after delivery.
